One of the photos shows a pen, but I can't see it mentioned in any of the description. Unless I'm just skimming right past it?

4gb ram on a windows machine? I'm not a masochist.

Probably a good deal if you don't want to do too much with it. At the end of the day it's a 12" tablet with a nice screen for $400.

Where is the Pro in the Surface Pro here? 4GB of RAM? I thought the Surface Pro series always overpriced, but I thought you got good hardware to match the price? Confused

Not really, has a micro sd slot for media storage. Can also route your browser downloads there to keep from filling up the internal ssd.

Think this can run Photoshop with only 4gb? Looking for just a drawing tablet really... Can't figure out what to buy.

It has always come in a few flavors with the bottom tier being pretty puny spec wise. Still, you won't find a 12" tablet as versatile as this for $400 anywhere else. Shame there isn't a fully functional linux distro that works on this. Would make the anemic hardware specs way more livable.

My c:\windows folder is being reported as taking 75 GB (64 GB "on disk"). Install office and some crap, and not much left. Response time of SD card ain't that great for apps to be there

With these specs it was obsolete the second it left the factory floor.
With no user serviceability that should be a crime.
Permanent 4GB RAM is a sick joke on any modern PC, especially Windows.
128GB SSD is survivable due to expandable uSD slot but still disgusting.

Good tablet for very basic tasks like browsing the web, watching a movie, typing a paper and very very little multi tasking

Way back when I bought a Surface Pro 4 with only 4 GB at a great price and highly regret that limitation.

Your average user isn't going to have a ton of apps on a relatively underpowered tablet though. I know I could make do on this device easily enough by throwing all my downloads and comics on the SD. Can also shrink W10 install quite a bit if you take the time to do it.

Yea, I would have bitten with 8gb. i3 isn't a problem. I could deal with 128gb storage. That 4gb of ram though is going to annoying just using the browser though unfortunately.
