Looks like the proposed credit phases out pretty quickly after $75k ($150k for married filing jointly, $112k for head of household).

Depending on your state, you can get a DUI for riding a normal bike drunk.

Nice price for a 500W 48V motor, most deal on here are 250W or 360w on 36V… this one seem better going slight uphill with little pedal

I don't suppose anyone can speak to how comfortable it will be for someone at the minimum recommended height (5'3") to ride on this bike?

I almost bought the last ebike SD post from Woot!:

This seems like a better deal for the money, no?
I thought so. For the extra $149 I thought it was worth getting the upgraded features of the Ranger R1. Especially the more powerful motor and extended range. The only thing the Woot deal had that the Ranger R1 doesn't, are 27.5" tires. 26" tires weren't enough of a deal killer for me, so I bought one for me and one for my wife.

[Edit] Plus, Woot would have added sales tax of about $44. So there's that to consider as well.

How can a bike have such a huge difference in recommended rider height? Sizing is important for bikes. A 6'4" person is vastly different than a 5"3'. Without looking at the specs, i assume this bike is ideal for a 5"8 person, or a normal medium size?

Anyone know anything about Turboant quality and/or customer service? These specs at this price seem too good to be true.

My biggest hesitation with these cheap e-bikes is poor quality batteries.

what's not considered a "cheap" e-bike?

Thanks, TardarSauce. My wife and I watched all the Ranger R1 videos on YouTube yesterday. No red flags, though the reviewers were all given the bike at no charge. We are going to watch a few more videos of competing models and then make our decision. So far, the Ranger R1 is in the lead at the $699 price.
