Monitor has been great so far the only thing I wish is that it had 2 DisplayPort ports. Being able to swap from work to gaming PC would be appreciated. For some reason, I could not get 100hz from my MacBook Pro unless I used a usb-c to DisplayPort cable. No biggie and that's on Apple, but it's just a minor annoyance when I want to change computers

IPS would be double the prize and still limited to 60 Hz. Anything with higher refresh rate would be at least $900.

Nice idea, but I think the two monitors are in different price classes with good reason. The AOC has better latency and refresh rate but costs $110 more as I would expect. Cheers

Depends on use case I think text is clearer on IPS. Does anyone know if the IPS version ever goes on sale?

Yes, I am not debating VA vs IPS. I am merely pointing out the price difference.

I want to get this but have been working on two IPS Dell Ultrasharp monitors. I look at text a lot via emails and I also work in the print industry and I'm told IPS is better for color accuracy. With this info does it sound like I need to hold out for an IPS or will this monitor be just fine?

The text isn't as sharp I'm told. Can you share a photo of your setup?

No recommendations matters at this point. Pretty much every good monitors are either sold out or out of stock.
I've been watching this and other ultra wide monitors for the past three weeks, and they are all going OOS or the prices are going up. I'm probably going to sit this one out for that reason…

I've had this monitor for about a week now. I'm using it along side my LG 29UM58 that I've had for years that has an IPS panel. I didn't like the out of the box experience, the coloring (blacks in particular) were off for me. However there are numerous adjustments that can be made and now it's pretty damn good.

I figured if I didn't like the monitor I could always return it to Costco. I primarily use it for productivity and it's been very comfortable to look at during a long workday. For the price I think it's great.

I got this monitor before a week or two. Using it for work purpose only. But, i haven't been able to find the LG software that allows you to split screen into multiple windows. Does anyone know where to find it or if this monitor is not supported.(as that would be a bummer and i will have to return the monitor). Also, i am looking for the LG software for Mac.
