Is this the crappy one that can't handle a 3x 8pin 3080/3090 graphics card?
From what I've read that issue only affects the Focus Plus (Pre Sept 2019) PSUs. These are the Non-Plus (v3) units and shouldn't have that issue.
From the PSU spreadsheet on LTT:
"V3 - c. Sept. 2019, OneSeasonic rebranding, ribbon cables without capacitors, raised OPP tripping point, multi-layer modular board, still have old FM / FX SKU codes"
And i thoughtbmy corsair 850w at $115 was a steal deal. 2 month later now it seems i bought high
You're okay, Seasonic cut a lot of corners during the 1st year of the pandemic, and power supplys were definitely higher in cost during that period. It seems Seasonic is trying to blow out the stock they produced during 2020. Personally I'll be statying away from them, and newegg.

10 Year Warranty, no rebate. Where's the evidence they cut corners on this model?

I don't think these PSU sales newegg is doing to get the few extra bucks is working. When other major retailers were selling this PSU for $105, newegg was still trying to sell it at $115. Or with a bunch of mail in rebates. After no one buy it, they now lower it to $90. Well, everyone that wants one already bought it from other retailers a month ago at $105.

The evidence is that in 2020 seasonic, not necessarily supply specific, removed the nylon sleeves on the cables, and bags claiming it was to preserve the material to make covid masks. Only a note in the packaging, other wise no disclosure before purchase. Personally I think this is BS.
I doubt that this was the only short cut seasonic took, but it appears to me that this may be the reason newegg has been dumping seasonic power supplies from this period. Warranty or not seasonic is not the company it once was, just like newegg.
As far as the warranty, it's only worth something if they actually honor it. Which lately that has been questionable.
