EDIT: I found it good through Dec 26th.
Samsung disables eSIM functionality on their flagship models (and claims it's because the carriers won't allow it - although Google and Apple seem to be able to persuade the carriers).
Motorola's only eSIM offering is the razr - and it's single sim to boot.
So who should I buy from, if I'm looking for 5G / dual sim with eSim?

For non Google Fi customers paying $50 extra at Google Store over the Google Fi deal is a no brainer as you get $60 of unlimited service included for free, while you could pay $50 less but then have to pay $60 to keep that discount -- effectively paying $10 more.
I ordered mine Friday, shipped same day, and says will be delivered Tuesday. Via Fedex which is always likely the biggest risk with this deal (See former Google deals about phones being missing...)
It's a deal at 400, but still waiting for it to drop a little bit more... My 2XL is still chugging along with good battery life.

That said, the phone is amazing. Have had many Pixel and Nexus devices and the 5a is the favorite, best value, phone. Very solid price at $400.
399.00 - 39.9=359.10
+tax
+9.99 (1 month of Google One)
Other brands with eSIM include the iPhones, Moto Razr, Samsung international models but not US..
