Samsung disables eSIM functionality on their flagship models (and claims it's because the carriers won't allow it - although Google and Apple seem to be able to persuade the carriers).
Motorola's only eSIM offering is the razr - and it's single sim to boot.
So who should I buy from, if I'm looking for 5G / dual sim with eSim?

Stop buying phone from carrier. Their ROM is limited to make you pay more.
Phone already arrived and luckily I didn't fall victim to the FedEx/Google lottery of getting my device stolen in transit.
