I tried to get the dead deal the other day, they wouldn't deliver to my area so I got this one instead. I'm pretty happy with it, it arrived in a box that was trashed, but all the pieces were good. Had a manual, put it together over a day and a half, and it's actually pretty nice. Only complaint is that the upper board is a little warped, but honestly it's 99% perfect. Good deal for 89 bucks.

Would you think it would be a terrible idea to keep it outdoors, under a mostly-covered porch? It could get a little rain, but would fit perfectly.

Nope. It wouldn't last a year. Maybe if you put it together, then got a gallon of rustoleum, and sprayed 3 to 5 layers of enamel, it would be OK. But Cthulu forbid if you were to scratch it somewhere and it went far enough to touch the "metal".

It looks exactly like the unit I got from HF few years back. I suggest adding additional screws to secure the pegboard. It will bend eventually otherwise. It's a good unit for the price and served me well because at the time I didn't have many tools to built my own bench.

I have 5 of these bought at Walmart 3 or 4 years back. Paid about $30 for each. Decent quality.

The surfaces are wood so they might absorb some moisture over time, but everything is completely painted so I wouldn't worry too much about rust or anything.
