The Dewalt DCST925M1 string trimmer with charger is $70 cheaper on EBAY than Home Depot or Amazon. I never seen this model under $119 even as a bare tool.

Not "and". You the price you cited includes a battery too. Right now there's a bundle under $200 for the trimmer kit and a blower. That's pretty common. It's just the trimmer portion of that basically.
But u don't comprehend the poor quality of the brushed model u are stating
This is far better than buying a poorly made bundle with the old lower spec models
