How do these Happy gift cards work? I've never done one but this is tempting.
I did some research on this in the past. Was wondering as the companies listed were all different corporations with their own gift card systems. These cards are essentially a debit card but only the retailers listed will accept them.
There are a few horror stories online but in general I've had good luck using them. There is another company that makes a gift card with different retailers but before use you have to sign in online to choose the retailer then it only works there.
The happy cards require none of that craziness which is nice. Just know if you have balance issues you need to work though Happy themselves not the retailer you tried to use it at, since it is not a true gift card in their system.
How? Maybe this is targeted, but I've never seen a bonus redemption amount beyond the usual 10% anywhere. I tried the App and the site just now, no dice.
(Prior to about 10 years ago, there were a lot more everyday "extra bonuses" beyond 10% but they were usually limited to florists, or things cruise lines or other major spends…and with a lot of restrictions and specific URLs you had to use)
I've redeemed 20% off GCs on discover many times .. offseason .. whenever I want .. its usual at Discover to get 20% off GCs including a bunch of stores listed in this post

20% off always on a lot of retailers. Bed Bath & Beyond, Nike, Athleta, Banana Republic, Chipotle. Lots of clothing and restaurants.

Happy Holidays is a good one since it has lowes included in it.
It's a bit YMMV, but since the store runs these as a debit card you can use them at Lowes to buy other gift cards. Last year I redeemed several Happy cards for Amazon cards, and will probably do the same again. Just don't tell the cashier what you're using and it's unlikely they will catch it.
Can you use these happy gift cards at Lowes self checkout as debit card?
No. You have to get to the cashier. Sometimes you can buy other gift cards if the store carries them but normally the cashier is supposed to decline using them for buying other gift cards.
Is this a regular thing on discover cards? And can you only buy with your accrued points or can you buy using the card as payment too? I don't have a discover card but depending on these answers, I will open one to eventually get some Apple gift cards for 20% off
Discover points used to be lot more worth for travel few years ago before they stripped off all those rewards. On cruises it used to be twice the value

Thanks, I do see it now! The mobile app obscured it, but the full site makes it clearer.
Back to the question at hand, I don't see any extra bonus for Lowe's…
