IMO if you're into the Amazon system Fire is good. Not particularly customizable AFAIK, but lots of main apps available. Doesn't have that weird thing LG does where some apps just aren't and never will be available. Ads don't bother me, all for related content. Can't say about Roku. What's a Tizen? Fire is cleaner than WebOS, less funky than Android and Google Play. NTTAWW funky.
Normally these old brand names mean nothing, most are zombies bought out of bankruptcy and licensed to anyone (eg Polaroid, Lexar). It's just a way to extract what's left of the value. When Onkyo sold its home audio division, they kept the rights to some uses of the Pioneer brand name. For TVs it may be licensed to TCL.

Pioneer was famous for their high quality plasma screen with very high contrast ratio. Now someone is using it and destroying their reputation on a cheap low quality LCD. If they put their name on an oled, then it would bring in the high quality feeling.
I'm always amazed that some of these old brands still bother making TVs. Buying a Pioneer TV in 2021 is like buying RCA or Philips. These once popular brands have been a complete joke in the TV world for years.
Do not buy this for gaming. This Pioneer lags four frames behind this $200 RCA 4K Roku TV. I turned off all picture settings and it switches to gaming mode automatically. As a PC monitor, the text is muddled in the last lines of the chroma subsampling 444 test.
Edit: after updating OS, it does not lag four frames behind. The chroma subsampling 444 test is perfect at 4k 30Hz and HDMI 1.4 mode.

You may be surprised to hear the Pioneer name associated with TVs because Pioneer notably exited the TV market in 2010. While Pioneer, back then, was known mostly in the TV industry for its high-end Pioneer Elite plasma TVs, these new Pioneer Fire TV Smart TVs have little to nothing in common with those TVs or the Pioneer company. That's because Best Buy is simply licensing the Pioneer name for use on these TVs, which makes these TVs more closely related to Best Buy's own house brand Insignia Fire TV Smart TVs than anything else. That's not to say that these will be bad TVs, since Insignia Fire TVs are quite well-reviewed, but understand that the press release stating that "Pioneer is back" is a bit of a stretch, to say the least.

Reviews aren't great at the two sites. And raise some good questions, like how good is the remote?
Not a lot of info around. Made by TCL?

How does the last two lines of this chroma subsampling 444 test look on it?

i like Roku better because there is a phone app that lets you adjust the color.
