Speaking of Amazon, it's $169.99 there with 10% back on amount charged to an Amazon Prime credit card if you want to go that route instead.

Did they ever fix that caching issue that would destroy performance?

Nice and Microsoft just released a fix today for insiders to test on windows 11 with it drastically cutting performance on write speeds of nVME drives.

These use TLC memory not MLC with more endurance like previous model PRO SSDs

Did it happen to you? If so, please post your findings. If you're going to link someone else's post about what happened to them, then I have a friend who knows a guy who knows a guy that can prove with the opposite argument.

I own this and never had a problem. Except for the fact that Alienware lied to me. It's running at PCle Gen 3 speeds unlike what's Alienware manual says. I'll dump that trash dell mobo once warranty ends and build a new pc with a better mobo.

Been using this drive as my OS drive for about a year. It's a great drive, very fast, no problems to speak of. I also keep my "currently playing" games on it and enjoy the very brief wait times for game loads. nod

How do I get 10%? Only shows 5% for my amazon card?

Weird, it seems like different ways of accessing the product page may not give the 10% offer. Try going to this link and see if you get the 10% offer:

https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-PC...r=8-1&th=1

I was about to buy this drive from GameStop (I have some points and whatever to make it cheaper) and slap it in my PS5, but after reading about the firmware updates mentioned above, now I'll need to hook it up to a PC/enclosure to update it first. PITA

Edit: I found the page that lists the 10% back using Amazon Prime credit card as well as other promo items:

This is the most reliable SSD you can get for your PS5.

If that is what you are shopping for you are going to need a heatsink.

Check this out: https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-NV...619&sr=8-3
