It's an okay TV if you just want to watch Netflix or something and are pretty casual, but the 4 series is REALLY old these days. If you care about quality at all, spend a bit more and get the 6 series, which is a phenomenal TV for the price.

This is EXACTLY CORRECT! I would say, if you want to watch Regular TV, get this. If all you want is a large TV, get this. If you want to watch television in quality form, do your research.

I've had the 6 series for 1.5 years and am blown away by it. Can't speak to the 4 series but made the jump up based on SD community feedback

Pretty trash specs TBH, 6 series is minimum TCL I'd buy. 75" on a shitty TV is going to look absolutely terrible with the motion blur ontop of the terrible viewing angle and very limited color color gamut.

I don't care what price this is, you'd be better spending the $600 on a better TV.

I've two 55" TCL 6 series since 2018. No issues and it's been a great bang for the buck.

I bought this for the price to throw in an extra room. Not a bad TV. The issue I had was with the wall mounting. The screw holes are at the very bottom of the TV. I originally had an LG mounted (which like most TVs, the holes are relatively centered) and had to drop the wall mount about 8 inches to accommodate this TV.

I have the 65" version of this. The SDR picture quality is amazing! Though the picture settings take some fine tuning- the color balance on ours was pretty bad out of the box. However HDR picture quality is very dim, washed out, and borderline unwatchable

There's no option to disable HDR on the TV itself so I'd highly recommend hooking up a streaming device that allows you to manually force SDR for streaming apps. Both the Nvidia Shield and Apple TV support this (wasn't possible on my FireTV, Roku, or Chromecast)

After figuring that out I love the value of these 4-series sets. 4k SDR looks phenomenal on it and to be quite honest I rarely mind watching things on this TV vs the same content in 4k HDR on the LG C1 OLED we have in the home theater room

I have this in 65 version from the $230 target deal. It's a basic TV that "plays things". Overall it's a bit mediocre, the only things that make this tv a good purchase is it's price.

I personally wouldn't purchase any TCL below the 6-Series.
