Are there any PlayStation exclusives that would make it worth getting this stick? I would prefer to get a stick that would allow me to play MS Flight Simulator on both my PC and XSX, but if there's a solid PS5 exclusive in the works, I could see myself sacrificing the ability to use this on my Xbox.

The only problem with Open box is that you lose out on the warranty. You probably get only 30 days.

Wrong info from Best Buy website:

New Box: Warranty per Best Buy website.
Manufacturer's Warranty - Parts 2 Years
Manufacturer's Warranty - Labor 2 Years


After doing some more research this only has 1 year warranty. So the Best Buy info is wrong on there website. In countries of the European Union they get 2 year warranty.

Been wanting a good joystick to play Squadrons on PC for a while, but the issues with potential drift make me leery, even though the price is right. Too many projects around the house, I would worry too much that this will just become landfill because if it went sideways, i don't have the bandwidth or knowledge to do a real fix. I know for many of you Chris Shiherlis' out there, it may be worth the risk at this price.I think it may be easier for others to pony up more...buy once, cry once.

I hear Ace Combat 7 VR mission (PS4 exclusive) is pretty awesome with this. It's just one mission though. VR mode with dualshock was pretty great and I LOVED it. I'm debating whether it's worth $40 for that. Too bad they didn't make the whole game VR

Got one a while ago and it developed drift after about 4 months of use. Replaced under warranty and second one developed drift after about a year. TM would not warranty that one. I took it apart and cleaned the sensors but it was only a temporary fix. I 've used TM joysticks since the original flight stick but I can't believe the crap pots they put in this model.

This is a great HOTAS (hands on throttle and stick). I bought it full price at the beginning of the pandemic for Star Wars Squadrons and it has been the perfect blend of price and functionality. It has already lasted me longer than I was expecting with occasional use and occasional torture from my kids. Fantastic deal at this price.

I have an earlier version of this stick, called "Top Gun Afterburner" that I've been using ever since Flight Simulator '98. Still works great. There's a control on the front of the throttle that takes the place of rudder pedals if you don't want to splurge on those.

Thanks! Been using my Logitech Wingman Extreme with the original USB to serial adapter to play Star Wars Squadrons. It's been reliable, but few buttons short. With this and my AMD 8GB 5500XT I got late last year for just below msrp, my 2012 gaming PC on a budget is good to go until at least 2025!!!!

I probably played about 1500 hours of Elite with my Hotas 4 and, despite the need for more modifiers, I still liked playing with it more than the Warthog.
