You get more tools with skil, but you get better quality with bosch. There is a reason why it's 5 tools for $99.

Don't underestimate the power here! I framed and completed a 1700 square foot basement with these, no issue! Small and super powerful.

These 2 tools are great and I used them professionally for years. I now use m12 for compatibility but these are more than enough for home use and this is a great price. The driver is larger but I prefer it over the M12.

Will my husband like these or the metabo brushless more?

The Hitachi is 18V, so of course the tools are also more powerful, but they're also much larger. Otherwise the Bosch products are probably superior for most. You might consider the brushless set for him, which is actually the same price as the Hitachi at Lowe's right now: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Bosch-12...lsrc=aw.ds

Personally I prefer the form factor, handiness, precise feel, and lighter weight of the Bosch 12V line, but your husband's preferences may vary. I know that's not the definitive answer you wanted, but honestly, it's a tough question without knowing him! Best of luck.

This is a good price for a good product if you need it right away or give as a gift. Be aware that within the last couple months, we had a number of hacks for Milwaukee tools and I was able to grab the M18 drill and impact driver with batters for $99.

How does this compare to Bosch set? Greenworks 24V Brushless Drill Combo Kit - 310 in./lbs Cordless Drill + 1950 in./lbs Impact Driver Set, 2x2.0Ah Batteries & 2A Charger & Bag, 8 pcs Bit Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09B7JP...ZBH2N77JH1

While this doesn't come with a bit 'set'… it does come with 2 generic bits.

A single Phillips (PH2) and a single flathead.

As far as the drill and driver, I have to say I'm extremely impressed with them! A whole lot more powerful than I had ever imagined, for sure.

I see why they're so well reviewed and highly recommended.

Does anyone have any advice of the Bosch or Milwaukee M12 kit is better? Both similar price, but I know a lot of professionals like Milwaukee.

Milwaukee has much wider range in its system. Also the Milwaukee deal has a bit set; I'd go for this versus the Bosch.

The battery is rotated 60 degrees in Bosch vs. Milwaukee. They are both triangular batteries: Bosch is flat underneath the trigger and Milwaukee is a point. They feel different in hand: you should visit HD and Lowes and handle both.

Stick-battery tools (battery in handle, most 12V) generally (maybe always) have larger handles than slide-battery tools (battery below the handle, most 18V). You may prefer a slide battery tool, whether 18V or Dewalt's 12V.

If they're both similar comfort, the Milwaukee due to the massively larger ecosystem and much better high-end tools. Specs are about the same.

I got this exact set for the same price in june 2019 and love it.
Small but powerful enough for most tasks around the house.
As it comes with two tools and two batteries, i could use one tool while the other battery was charging when doing a deck.

Similar, not the same. For quality tools like Bosch/Milwaukee, $13 is likely not a deal breaker. Within that spread, buying whichever is better makes more sense unless you're sticking to a very strict budget.

Tempted to get this or the milwaukee for the form factor, but having no power tools in my arsenal since am a recent first time homeowner i feel it would make more sense to go with the traditional 18v system.
