I saw this crazy offer on my blue cash preferred card. Seems like the craziest credit card offer of all time.

Got 2 credits. Gonna get the little lady one of them fancy fridges with the ice maker and tv screen.
I agree... seems very unusual for them to have something of this magnitude and it not be tied in with other merchants or heavily advertised as a card member perk.
AMEX did a somewhat lucrative Gift Chain promotion before Christmas in 2011 that was sponsored by other merchants. I think it wore out their customer service reps from people who couldn't figure out how it worked, and they haven't done anything similar since, except for a few much smaller Shop Small promotions.

The thing is, AMEX just doesn't make these kinds of mistakes. I'll bet there have been some VERY interesting conversations taking place over at AMEX Corporate because of this.
