* Peak brightness 790 nits
* 48 local dimming zones
* Contrast ratio 6220:1
* No wide color gamut
* No HDR10+
I think peak brightness of 1000+ nits should be expected for TVs which cost $1500+
I so with Hisense had released 75U8G with VA panel with same/better specs from the U8G series, I would have gone for that.

No Sony tv offers hdr10 plus. They offer Dolby vision. So i bet you can argue on any Samsung post "hey no dolby vision!"
Also note, u8g doesn't have 75"
During dark scenes, it's hard to make out anything even with brightness turned all the way up and gamma increased.

Or you can buy a Vizio m series 75" for $900 and looks just as good as any of the 120hz panels.
* Gaming: No VRR as of July 2021
* Gaming: Two HDMI 2.1 ports
* Weak local dimming zones resulting in greyish blacks
* Low peak brightness. Mediocre SDR brightness.
* Sub-par motion processing.
The XR chip apparently performs worse than X1.
The higher end the set, the more you can tweak them to fit your room, lighting, and media preferences.
The most important part of the purchase is the extended warranty. These sets will have issues. And the ease of a warranty claim or exchange is huge if you're not comfortable swapping out a T-con or power supply board. I repair sets, and can tell you entry to mid level sets are made with garbage parts. Even the higher end TCL boards aren't great.
