I was debating this versus their Cangshin? Anyone have feedback? I know Henckles is legit long time brand. But heard that their sets are lower quality?

Henckles "1-man logo" is the lower quality set. Zwilling Henckles "2-man logo" is the high quality set. 2man one is made in germany, while the 1 man is made in china. I just brought a 9 piece set 2man from the costco event last month. It's something my mom always wanted and she loves it so far

I bought Cangshan for $99 in their recent deal. So far so good. I am also debating if this one from Henckel is better then I will return the Cangshan. Will wait for more comments.

I think the cangshan is better. It's German steel but made in China. This is Chinese steel made in China.

These are welded, not forged. Don't confuse them with the German-made Henckels knives that last a lifetime (and more). It's a cheap set designed to meet a price point for sale at Costco and Wal-Mart.

Yes, it's a lot of knives for just $75, but for my money, I'd buy these instead:
Mercer 8" Forged Chef's knife $40.49 [amazon.com]
Mercer 10" bread knife $13.31 [amazon.com]
3.5" Forged paring knife $18.99 [amazon.com].
For a total of $67, those three knives will serve all of your needs, they'll be superior in performance and durability, hold their edge better, and sharpen better as well.

Can speak to the Mercer 10" bread knife. It's great. Very sharp and durable. The extra 2" you get on that vs the 8" in the block will be noticable.

It's not just the length and sharpness, but also the saw-like spacing of the serrated edge. It's a great knife. I switched from a $100+ 8" Wusthoff Classic bread knife to this $13 Mercer (after it was rated #1 by Cook's Illustrated) and I'm never going back (which reminds me I need to sell that Wusthoff on ebay).

I cannot zoom in the pix on Costco to see the 'made in'.

Macys has 12-piece ( different line ) 'made in India' ( not China ) for $5 more https://www.macys.com/shop/product/j.a.-henckels-international-solution-12-pc.-cutlery-set?ID=997565... [macys.com]

So they (Costco and JA Henckels) lie?
If you look at Henckels website itr shows on the Canadian version.

From the website:
The J.A. Henckels Forged Elan Series knife is a contemporary styled, fully forged knife.

I stand corrected, then. I was looking at the Henckels website.
I do remain skeptical about this set for $75 (forged or not, this is their "budget" line sold also at WalMart). My mother in law has an older budget Henckels set and let's put it this way — when we visit for thanksgiving, I bring my own knives. I'm quite confident the 3 knives I recommended for $67 will offer greater utility, value, and life than this big set.

Just bought this for 100 as a Christmas gift, guess I need a price adjustment. For the comments above, the box says German steel, but made in China. Box says forged, but then says forged bolster in another spot. Just passing the info
