Great deal!
Have one on each room, group them, and you got yourself the least expensive home music system, or broadcasting system to call your kid dinner is ready! lol

I know this comment is getting down voted but this has actually been my experience with the 2nd gen mini as well. I've never had issues with my Google assistant devices (Lenovo, JBL, phones, Nest Hubs, OG Google Home, or first gen minis). I've had a couple of Nest Minis 2nd gen in the house for over a year and they continue to fail to pick up my voice compared to all of my other devices. I will be a few feet away from one in my living room and it will not trigger with a voice command. However, the kitchen and sun room devices (Google Nest Hub 1st gen and 1st gen mini) pick up my voice and respond while I'm in the living room (sometimes through a closed door).
The sound quality is an improvement with the 2nd gen which isn't the biggest deal to me but others may consider this an important factor. I find it to be minor unless you listen to your music at higher volumes in which case you will be able to tell a difference.
All the other functionality is still fantastic across my Google Assistant devices. Streaming is great. App interface is meh but once you get things set up, hopefully you won't have to play too much in it.
Overall, I've thoroughly enjoyed my Google assistant setup across my entire smart home. Recently, for some strange reason, my Google Home account removed my thermostat and every single one of my GE smart bulbs so I'm going through an extensive process of adding ever single device back in. I couldn't find any other record of this happening with other users so I'm guessing it was an anomaly and, while it is a massive pain to rebuild my smart home, it isn't a deal breaker for me because of how seamlessly everything normally functions.

I disagree I finally got the 2nd Gen couple months ago and swapped it to my kitchen where I use it the most. Volume and mic just so much better. Half the time my 1st gen would think I said something else

1st gen so much better than the 2nd gen. 1st gen mic will hear me no matter what, mouth full of food, air conditioner blasting, tv on.
2nd gen mic is shit. Have to repeat myself constantly.
2nd gen mics were supposed to be an improvement, but aren't.

Actual speaker is better in 2nd gen tho.

I bought two when they were 25. I have minis and a fire cube. The plug was a little finicky to set up with Alexa but it did work with both once set up.

Is this deal online only, or would I have the same price in store?

Agree with your experience here. 1st gen mics do a much better job recognizing voice commands vs. 2nd gen enough to make me avoid purchasing any more 2nd gen devices

buy this and enter the world of being constantly pissed off at google.

i like the potential, but gd these things are frustrating. particularly once you have a few and start getting used to the way they work and then all of a sudden google decides to change something and they no longer work.

but this is a good deal if you actually need one of these plugs. myself, i find the plugs to be a bit useless. i find smart switches to be the only useful things for my setup. however, these are great to have for the christmas tree.

In for 3, but it took many attempts for my order to go through.
Finally was able to order using payPal.

Hoping I can set these up around my mom's house in case she falls and can't get to her cell phone to call me. Has anyone used them for making phone calls?
