Popular through the Midwest. If they ever get their program together for shipping, they could be an Internet competitor. Menards has their own steel, door, truss, Formica tops, etc., fabrication facilities that are quite reasonable. For a box store, they also have a much better quality of dimensional lumber than Lowes and HD.

I have bought these multiple times for $27. Decent price. These pliers have saved me so many times that I have lost count. Easily one of my favorite tools in my box.

I give them out as gifts...all the people I have given them to end up coming back at some point or another commenting about how well they work...they grip like nothing else. Lifesaver when it comes to rounded bolts.

This legendary Medards I keep hearing about, is it like the Fry's of the east coast?

Delivered, the OP are a decent price. Menards has been the place for some real deals in the past year, where I put together sets of the 7, 10 and 12" Cobra for $77 after rebate.

Fry's is dead, it's like the Microcenter for tools.

What's the difference between them? Just price? They look about the same

These are great pliers. I scoffed at the price at first but they're worth it. My old channellocks feel wooden and awkward after using these.

I've never been to Menard's, but it appears that they have some great in-store deals. However, shipping and "processing fees" make ship to home less of a deal. For example, the OP pliers shipped to Rhode Island are:

Merchandise Subtotal: $24.99
Processing Fees: $2.80
Shipping Charges: $7.85

Pretax Subtotal $35.64

Concealed Packaging is an extra $5.00

If you had to choose one i'd go with the Cobras. I have both and find the Cobras to be way more useful to me.
