They do. This is actually a fairly nice box. I got the bigger set (130ish pc) at lowes a few months ago for working on my car. I just wish you could UNLOCK the drawers without having to have the top open so I could keep it on a shelf and use without pulling it out. Drawers are a bit shallow, but other than not being able to put sockets vertically it fits a lot of my hand tools no problem.

If it's just sitting on a shelf, why not leave the drawers unlocked? I have a similar box and that's been fine for me.

You have to open the lid to unlock the drawers. Shelf doesn't have enough room to open the lid unfortunately.
