Woot is like the Sears Outlet centers that you see in random rural strip malls. But at least they sort of abide by Prime rules. It's like they're Amazon's kid, but Amazon is 6 months behind on child support.

Not to justify the price of the food52 item (link isn't working), but if we're using your logic — beef can come in a Taco Bell burrito or steak tartare. Materials alone don't make a product.

You can purchase a decent looking ceramic coffee mug for as little as $2 but if the same amount of ceramic is in the shape of a pour-over dripper it'll cost $25 [seattlecoffeegear.com]

Nah, Woot was never [perhaps except in its very beginning] really good. Wasted so much of my time during those limited time sales for mostly junk stuff that most of us don't really NEED & just adding more trash to this world. One good thing with Amazon Woot is free shipping with Prime.

I've been looking for a stainless steel bialetti but Amazon wanted a bit more. Looked today and the 6 cup is down to $30.37 plus tax.
