What's a typical cost for similar set without the VIKING name on them? Are there noticeable differences in quality between these and no-name set of metal bowls?

I own these. I was actually surprised how nice they are. I don't think you'd find even no-name bowls much cheaper than this, and they probably wouldn't be as nice. They're nice and thick and the rubberized coating on the bottom is both practical and looks good.

Note I haven't used them a ton yet so I can't speak to durability, but they seem really sturdy.

These are the same as the KitchenAid ones Sam's was selling in the past. It's just a different name. The guage on these is really nice and they don't dent easily. I had the KitchenAid version for 3 years and they're awesome. $20 you will not find anything better. The rubber bottoms are flawless although I hand wash them just in case.

These look nice, but as a counterpoint, I'd rather have a few thin bowls that are the same size so they stack instead of a bunch of different sizes. I rarely want to use the smaller ones and always need more of the bigger bowls. Restaurant supply stores sell them for a few bucks each.

For quality comparison, according to samsclub.com this Viking set weighs 5.86 pounds. This Wildone set weighs 5.88 pounds:

The Tremontina set which sams used to sell for $20 is 5.1 pounds, with 2 more bowls:

I have this about a year and they are wonderful. The rubber bottom has no problem even you put hot water in it.
