Fixie (no multiple speeds) so you need assist for going over the top of the hill.
Non-removable battery so you need to use the outlet in the garage to charge it.
There's a mention that bike shops can service the battery replacement when the time comes.
Base bike is road-oriented, so tires are skinny and brake setup is essential.
Electric assist is not proportional to the strength of pedaling, instead is a constant amount, as it is a cheaper model. Some learning curve here.
First intro level e-bike that is actually not strange-looking.
Price can't be beat at the moment. Maybe next year with the 30% Biden tax rebates for clean energy you can do better, but now this is as good as it gets.

Thanks SD for not making it a FP as it should have been, otherwise I couldn't have gotten mine.

Seems like your cons outweigh the pros 🤔

None are deal-breakers, as the bike is working fine. It is understood that in a budget-friendly e-bike corners will be cut, however competent bikers will know how to deal with them.

It's either get this with several caveats, or another model three or four times this price. Or wait a few months. Everyone chooses for themselves.

Valid points, thanks for the clarification.

Save $500.

Your SWFT journey starts here. Wherever you're headed, VOLT will get you there with style, safety, and a fresh design that'll turn heads as you turn corners. Move ahead of the pack with a SWFT e-bike with a built-in rechargeable battery. Multiple modes allow you to use pedal-assist or your throttle to propel you forward. With a 19.8 mph max speed, you can travel up to 32 miles on a single charge of your battery alone. A built-in monitor display indicates your battery output and speed. Let the journey begin.

It's hard to believe that this was originally a $1,000 bike as claimed on the site. Although one of the pictures on the BB website shows a 6-speed shifter, this is a single speed bike. That picture is from a different model. It appears that the battery is not easily removeable, which isn't ideal for battery life if you keep your bike in a non-climate-controlled area like a garage. And note that this only has wheel rim brakes rather than disk brakes.

I'm really debating whether to buy this bike from Best Buy for $500 or the one from Walmart for $398 - which has been at that price for few weeks now? Any recommendations which may last long and is good for entry level? Best Buy bike is $500 off with great reviews (4.4) but the company swft is brand new opened only in 2020 per their website.

If you live in an area with a lot of hills you should be looking at a 750w motor anyway and while a 500w motor will work you will have to put some effort into it unless it's a steep hill then forget it. I would like to point out most bikes come with a candance sensor instead of a torque sensor it's no big deal the only thing that should matter is will it serve your purpose even though for most a non removable battery is an automatic pass.
