The sn570 with the 112 layer for $45 was better deal imho. Looks like controllers are finally good at their job enough that even cheap nand with no dram can perform these days. Took long enough

I read something about cheaper parts substituted in the 550 vs the 570. I ended up with the 570 500gb from Amazon as my game drive.

For someone who uses a computer for basic things - MS office, lots of chrome tabs, zoom, netflix, etc. - is the type/speed of SSD even going to be noticeable?

I mean, it's a big jump to go from non-SSD to SSD just in terms of computer/program startup time. But the detailed comments here about the particulars of this SSD's firmware and whatnot - I assume for a basic user it just won't be noticeable?
