I just bought these from the last Amazon deal. FWIW - After reading a lot of reviews about fit, I agree that they definitely don't fit my ears as well as prior versions. The sound quality is much better - bass, clarity, crispness. Overall, I like them but it will take a while to get used to the fit.

The sound quality is much better - bass, clarity, crispness. Overall, I like them but it will take a while to get used to the fit.

I'm experiencing the same thing. Hurts my ears after about 20 mins. I learned that I have to "rest" them in my ear and not push the headphones in.

I'm so lost while reading up on all versions, the 1st and 2nd gen had noise cancellation but these don't am I right? I just got iphone 12 last month would 1st/2nd gen would suffice?

Only the airpods pro have noise cancellation. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen of the regular airpods have no ANC. The 2nd gen is on sale for $90, so it is up to you if the better sound of 3rd gen is worth the extra $50.

Hey all.
I have the original airpods, they work great BUT I only use them in my car, taking a phone call as I drive.

Reason for that is they fall out of my ears often. While driving, I am mostly still. Initially, I used them while doing my daily walks and 99% of the time, either one or the other ear airpod fell out.

I'm looking at the design of this latest model, it looks the same as the original. I am assuming I will face the same scenario of them falling out.

Is it safe to assume that or is there something I don't know and should get these updated AirPods?
