What can it do that my Instapot can't do and is it worth paying for the difference?
If you have instant pot duo crisp, then It doesn't do anything different. If you have an older model then, click the link and go to the features section and read it.
Bought from Macy's for $249 last month and this thing is INCREDIBLE. It replaced our broken off-brand Instapot, crock pot, need for a fryer, and can function as a (decent, according to reviews) sous vide.
I have the first generation of this. Really awesome to use. This one looks like it can go to a higher temp (450 versus 400) and you only need one lid between air frying and pressure cooking. Very tempting as switching lids is a hassle and 400C always felt like it wasn't hot enough to properly crisp meat.

It does do one thing different from the Duo Crisp..it only needs 1 lid for pressure cooking and air frying and can go straight from pressure to air fry without doing anything (you'd have to stop it and change lids on Duo Crisp).
The only thing I've ever pressure cooked and air fried in my Duo Crisp is whole chicken though.
the big difference with the original ninja foodi was the fryer lid never came off and so it took up extra space height wise when pressure cooking. with just one lid that comes off fully it's easier to clean and use in tighter spaces.

What sucks is that only Ninja's own website sells the one with the thermometer integrated lid version of this. That is a game changer. You can stick the thermometer in meat and have it cook it perfect to your liking every single time. I wish they would offer that version at Kohls! The thermometer can't be purchased separately because the lid needs to have the input port on it.
I'm not sure if that will always be a Ninja website exclusive or not.

Amazon has the 701 but it's $250. There is a YouTube video that explains the differences between this 601 and the 701 with thermometer so you can make better decisions
