Best Buy has the PowerA Fusion Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One and PC on sale for $30. Reviews are fairly positive though durability seems to be a concern. If you're looking for a cheap controller, might be worth the gamble if you don't use it too much.

I have this in black hoping it would be a cheap alternative to the Elite V1, but not very satisfied.
If you use a Xbox audio controller attachment that plugs into the bottom of your controller, DON'T GET THIS. This only has a headphone jack and not the Xbox connector port. I didn't realize this, but was already planning on getting a wireless mic as my next upgrade so I dealt with it until then.
The paddles are a block that clicks into the back. There's some wiggle room so it wobbles a bit. I don't think it makes much of a difference in practice, but I wish it was sturdier.
Also my right D-pad needs more force to register than the others. It depresses, but needs an extra force to sense it was pressed. The other three directions work fine.

All in all, for $30 as a elite controller substitute (that has to be wired), it's not bad. Just know the compromises. You can map the back buttons to anything fairly easily, but there are no profiles and no thumbstick adjustments in an app compared to the real deal.
I used this controller for rocket league, but my standard xbox one controller for most other things. In general I'd say these two controllers are comparable for build quality. I tried a PowerA "enhanced" wired controller before the fusion pro, and it was absolute garbage.

I spent a lot of time holding down the paddles on the fusion pro (I used one for boost, one for air roll). The boost side got around 20 total hours of contact (6 months) before it simply wore out. I switched the paddle to the lower part of the controller. The paddle lasted longer than my steam controller (and this is in general a much higher quality controller than the steam controller). Other than that the controller worked well.
My xbox controller left bumper went out from less use than that. It is a common problem.

I did not experience any stick drift, although I don't dial in my deadzone that close. If anything, my xbox one controller had more stick drift.

I've never used a third party controller that felt as good as the real deal before the Fusion Pro. The shape and even face buttons feel as good, or better than the xbox one standard controller. The fusion pro feels a bit more substantial, more solid in the hand. Ergonomics are very similar.

--------------
After reading about all of the elite issues people have I tried out the dual sense 5, then the Thrustmaster eswap pro. I couldn't get used to holding the dual sense with two fingers on the L1/L2 so I stayed with the eswap. At $160 it is ridiculously expensive, but I recon I could swap out sticks when they get drift, and the clicky back buttons are very responsive and high quality. The PowerA Fusion pro paddles feel sluggish and mushy by comparison.

If I knew I could buy the powerA fusion for $30, I probably would have purchased two and just stuck with it. Overall, it is a really great controller. I bet version two's new paddles are a nice improvement, but for occasional use for secondary items, this one will be ok.

I never tried the headphone port. Remapping is more intuitive than the Thrustmaster.

One annoying thing, if you put the controller down on anything that isn't totally flat (say your lap, on a couch, etc) you are going to press the triggers. It looks like the new version has the paddles stick out a bit less.

$30 for a non Microsoft controller? Not a deal sorry.
Normally I would tend to agree about non-OEM controllers, but this is an elite-style competitor and the Xbox One generation first party controllers are notoriously flaky and short lived anyway.

The successor to this one, the Fusion Pro 2 is over $60 most places.

Okay my bad. I thought this was like the normal controller. I suppose it's a good deal then if it is really a comparable to the elite ones. Those elite official ones are insanely priced.

My XsX controller ended up with a bad headphone jack just after the 6 month warranty 😣

It absolutely felt like cheaper material right from day 1

Have had the black version of this for a year or so with no issues so far, and I love using it. But of course it won't last forever, so $30 for a replacement is perfect. Thanks for posting!
