Good deal. I've been mulling over the 4300 Lattego with the screen for the last few weeks at $900, but this is the same machine minus the LCD display. I'll deal with the lack of a screen for 50% less. Pulled the trigger.

My .02. I had the Philips 3200 lattego machine. Good machine overall but I ended up returning it and getting the Gaggia Magenta Prestige for $849. While the Gaggia is definitely a bit more money, it brews a better drink overall. The coffee pucks are noticeably more packed together which results in a better brew/taste.
Also, there are more drink selections and the machine actually follows the right order of dispensing milk vs espresso depending on your drink selection - a feature that's usually found on more expensive machines. Also the frothing ability on the Gaggia is far superior to the 3200. Wife wasn't impressed with the 3200
Frothing coming from a Nespresso vertuo. The Gaggia does an excellent job with this.
I believe Philips bought Gaggia a few years ago but this machine is still made in Italy. Overall I'm very pleased with my Gaggia purchase. I had done a ton of research and wanted to find the best machine in the $500-$1k

I believe I posted the last SD for this machine in July...we had been waiting for months and months for a deal to meet out budget. While the 3200 was my intended original purchase, we ended up using the discount for the 4300 at that time. We have no regrets ante-ing up a few more dollars for the digital display and handful more drink options. We have zero regrets. Is it perfect? No. Can we whip out several hot or iced beverages in a minute or two? Yes. We would buy again? Absolutely!

this is a solid deal....had this model for 2 years and ran it constantly...great machine. Replaced it with a De'Longhi Dynamica plus for better cold drinks and a double wall thermal carafe. However, I did have two complaints.....1. coffee ground container would grow mold no matter how often we washed and the lid for the carafe was easy to knock off. The trade off was fast coffee brew time and low maintenance.

From my experience, using the LatteGo doesn't yield that much froth/foam. I rinse/wash the milk container after about 3-4 uses and it's very easy since it's completely separate from the machine. If you're making cappucinos, the milk container holds maybe 1.5x worth of milk, so you're refilling it pretty often and run into the habit of rinsing it pretty often.

That being said, I've gone back to using my Nespresso Aeroccino frother because it can do hot and cold, and I like the amount of froth it generates.

I noticed Sur La Table also has the Philips 4300 with the standard froth wand (not LatteGo) since this one is out of stock-- I personally would go for this one and use a standalone milk frother.

Thx. How hot is the milk bcoz I really drink hot hot coffee..

I have this. Great Machine, easy to use. My only negative is only after 8 months if use. One of the gasket wore out and I have to buy a replacement. Thanks to a youtube video ... I was able to figure it out.

Very simple. There's a pull out tray for excess water and water that was purged through the dispenser. The pucks are collected in a bin and holds about 8-10 pucks before the machine alerts you that it needs to be emptied. The milk container valve has a quick rinse function. After brewing a drink you get an optional prompt after each brew that involves milk. There is also a more thorough clean option as well that the machine can perform. The container is dishwasher safe. I usually fill the milk container with milk and creamer at the start of the week and pop it back in the fridge after each use. Wash it thoroughly weekly. 😀
