Is this good for milk based drinks ??? Can it heat the milk without froth or too much froth?? and how often you have to clean ??
The lattego system is awesome. The milk carafe is solid plastic with no tubes, etc. It does only froth the milk vs heat. We only use almond milk, so the froth is different than dairy-based. We have just popped the carafe in the fridge in between uses. We hand wash with little issue, too, but it can also be put in the dishwasher. My hubby takes care of the main unit. While the unit rinses itself, the pod container and water catch need to be emptied every week or so. The grinder also needs to be removed and thoroughly rinsed every week or so. We love it.

100% this. The LatteGo is really well done - dishwashing 3 non moving plastic parts is a game-changer. I've had mine since last July and it had been flawless averaging 2-3 cappuccinos per day.
I purchased the 5400 for $1,000 earlier in the year. I think the biggest difference is the digital display and it comes with an extra shot option.
It has served me well. I previously had the Gaggia Brera.
I highly recommend any variations of this model depending on your feature needs.
If I had to change one thing, I wish the drink selector placements were customizable. There's a lot of clicks to get to drinks in the more menu that are all the way down on the list. Hot water is one of those options. This issue is not relevant for the basic models. Just something to consider if you're looking at different models with different features.

may want to look at seattle coffee gear - normal price for this one over there is $599 and they have promo's all the time. They have 50 off 500+ now so, you're down to $550 for this particular model. i've found that their normal prices are pretty good so when they run promotions, they beat out others. I bought a Saeco a little more than 2 years ago and still going very strong. So easy and great to get an americano every morning.
Thanks OP! I just purchased the 4300. Back-ordered until mid January, but I'm in no rush.

This is for the LatteGo model, which is normally $799.00

My 2 cents- I have the 4300 lattego that I purchased full retail and I am pleased with the performance and ease of use. I haven't been to a coffee shop for a long time spending $5 on espressos before my workouts. There is a small break-in period but after, the coffee/espresso taste significantly better.
Also- I'm tempted to return the one I bought from amazon and get this one and I would be saving $236- anyone know if its worth the hassle of doing this? Clearly I can't think for myself.
Ah I misunderstood. Just ordered the 4300 LatteGo version for $675.
Just did the same, it's on backorder though. I've had an order placed from Crate And Barrel with 10% off and it's also backordered. This is definitely a better price so waiting to see who can deliver first.

I wished the 5400 LatteGo was available on Amazon/etc, as it's exclusive to Williams & Sonoma.
