Though there is one location where you are allowed to fly, as long as it's below 50', but the app just says no. It's a local park on the very edge of the base's restriction zone where the city has an agreement with the base for small planes/drones as long as they stay below 50'
I bought a phantom 3 pro when it came out. Love it.
Just picked up the mini 2 fly more combo refurb for 389 and blown away how good the little drones are now. Love that I can just throw it in my backpack
I have both; my original Mini bricked itself during a firmware update, and took down a battery with it. I returned it to DJI for warranty, but they denied it due to "water damage". The indicator was indeed showing pink, but the drone has never been submerged or even run in foggy conditions. They wanted to charge me $297 for a new/refurbished unit, and that was just the drone itself, not even the battery that it tanked.

2) does it have a return home feature and will it return at the same height (I live on a hill).
