Thank you. I will check on this. Of what I understood, dji drones do not work with location turned off in the app in order to comply with no fly zone restrictions.

So if I live 4 miles from an airport the dji app won't let me take off because I am not 5 miles away?

Maybe it has changed. I haven't done it for 2 years. I might be out of date. It used to work. I guess I'm not sure now.

I have a ruko f11. My video seems to cut out around 300-400 ft in a residential area. Is the Mavic better?

This is a solid deal for a small camera drone with great stabilization and runtime , even though the range is short compared to other DJI drones. The Mini 2 is a big step up compared to this one.

I have both; my original Mini bricked itself during a firmware update, and took down a battery with it. I returned it to DJI for warranty, but they denied it due to "water damage". The indicator was indeed showing pink, but the drone has never been submerged or even run in foggy conditions. They wanted to charge me $297 for a new/refurbished unit, and that was just the drone itself, not even the battery that it tanked.

1) what happens if you exceed the range?
2) does it have a return home feature and will it return at the same height (I live on a hill).
3) do you fly it with an app and does it show you the fpv?
