Geez, how do you find it in you to send your three-year-old socks back to the retailer? Don't you feel like you've had your money's worth?
Not to treadcrap since this a good deal but I prefer darn tough socks with their lifetime warranty. I've had socks replaced no questions asked that are more than 3 years old. You send the old pairs in and they give you credit to buy more.
With this discount a $20 pair of socks will cost $12 and I would rather pay $14-15 for darn tough on sale with their guarantee.
If you plan to buy smart wool their phd line are their top of the line with higher stitch counts than their lifestyle and other models if you want your socks to last.
Looks like a 2 year guarantee.
No idea how much hassle it is to claim.
But for that price I feel you can go with other brands and get lifetime warranty

Thanks for sharing OP! I didn't actually need anything but spent $100 anyway. I love Smartwool socks and bought a few more for me, and some for gifts. I even bought a short sleeve t-shirt, good for travel (if that ever happens again).

All I wear is smartwools. They don't give you a hard time about returns, but you're very unlikely to have one. From thin to thick their socks are amazing and well worth the money. I usually get mine on leftlanesports.com, though. They are already clearanced there and usually on sale in addition. They almost always have phds (sold out now). Got into wearing these when I was cycling a couple hundred miles a week. These are the only socks that kept my feet warm or cool year round and never got blisters from a bad seam. Wool's antibacterial qualities allow you, if you must, to wear these a couple of days without a bad smell. I love them.

I mean, three years for quality socks? Unless you're wearing them every day (ew), I'd hope a $15 pair of socks could do better than that. I can get two years out of $1/pair cotton Wilson socks.
Like those high priced Duluth Trading underpants. I don't know what their warranty is but I'd hope they're at least 5 years.
