You can definitely get a cheaper version of this piece for less than $10, though

I've kept this in my bag as an extra little tripod the last year.. it's been a great addition for what it is.

Weight.. keep it to a cell phone, GoPro, or 360 camera.

We took this out to Colorado this summer.. used it extensively with a RICOH Theta SC2 and also my cell phone. It worked great and we had a ton of keepers. It is VERY light though.. So wind would be an issue if it's not being held in your hand. If you stand it up you should be careful.

So yeah.. buy it.

the bh reviews have it being a really poor product

the extension method doesnt work well for a lot of people.

@ $30 there are other alternatives on amazon that can match this for less.
