the extension method doesnt work well for a lot of people.
@ $30 there are other alternatives on amazon that can match this for less.

Joby makes good products on the surface, have a polished look, but meh, my gorillapod pro broke with minor use, other gopro products no better than chintzy amazon stuff in practice.
knowing that their finish is high quality, they better score near perfect 5 for me to buy it, as the presentation is not indicative of a good product.

To me, for $30, it's even over price. The mechanism is OK. Don't hook anything that is over 2.2 lbs like described (I tried). The grip feels nice. Other than that, nothing is special.
For $84.88 before coupon, whatever.
