It was literally $59.99 yesterday 12/19/21 but thanks for your wonderful comment. I know because it's in my saved list and I checked it for my bro who just bought Switch and we laughed about it.

And the "Mario game" was supposed to be in quotes because my point was it's not a real Mario game

It has had always been that low price range between $10.99-19.99 for the past 2 years. Not exactly a screaming discount.

Alast! A great price for the Switch newcomers.

i really like this game. i bought a copy for my much younger cousins (4 and 9) but ended up getting a copy for myself as well. solid pick up at $12. also, i prefer physical games because they can't be taken off the online store like microsoft recently did with some of their games

I used to be a physical guy but now only am for games I know I would never sell (the "keepers") like Zelda, Mario. Games that have quick "plug and play" where you might play for 20 mins here and there like racing games, this game, etc I prefer digital. Annoying to swap games if it's a quick time waste (think like a Tetris type game, cartridge would be horrible)

What's funny is when Best Buy puts it back to the "regular price" $59.99. I feel bad for some parent that got their kid a Mario game at $59.99 (price it was yesterday)

Not really sure why we continue to reward a company that plays follow the leader all the time on pricing. Amazon isn't the only retailer but we sure work hard toward creating that.

Anyway, on the fence myself as it looks like a niche market for this type of "Mario" game. Cheap enough so if the kids don't enjoy it, not really a loss.
