Sorry for thread jacking a bit, but maybe you can add this to the post as well. The Rig 500 Pro HX is on clearance as well for $38. Other than driver size, the two are identical. I've had the 500 Pro for exactly a year and I've been very happy with them, and I paid $75! At $38 I'm contemplating getting a second set for myself or one for my daughter. No issues with mine, I just really dig them.

Sorry for thread jacking a bit, but maybe you can add this to the post as well. The Rig 500 Pro HX is on clearance as well for $38. Other than driver size, the two are identical. I've had the 500 Pro for exactly a year and I've been very happy with them, and I paid $75! At $38 I'm contemplating getting a second set for myself or one for my daughter. I had the wireless RIG headset for a long time and can safely say it was my favorite headset I've owned. I'm currently using Astro A50s and while they are good I don't think they compared to the comfort of the RIG 800s I had. It appears these are the same form factor so if you have a giant head like me, I highly recommend.

I also saw the PlayStation rig headset on sale also but I don't think it included the Dolby 2 year . I believe that's the only difference.

The lifetime license for Atmos is on sale for $10.50 right now so it isn't like the 2 year activation is that great. That said, I like my RIG headset that I have for voice chat while I use my speakers for game volume. I have a 1 ear rig headset with mic and it does a good job of filtering out game sound from my voice.

These are pretty comfortable. I always worried I was going to break them because the plastic by the earcups didn't feel the strongest.

I have a pair and they are very comfortable and great.

My only complaint is that the part that connects to my game controller fell out easily. So when I'm adjusting the volume, I turn the dial up and down for it, but the connector spins around as well.

I purchased this item from previous post. I have an issue with the mic, i use it a lot in conference calls and the mic button broke in less than 6 months. It sometimes mutes and other times it doesn't which is a liability for me.

The headbands are very different too. Your Rig 500 has the ski goggle type, where the Rig 400 is just a crappy normal one. Not that there is anything wrong with a crappy normal one, it just isn't as good as the ski goggle type.

This was $19.99 last year at Best Buy. I know it because I bought one for telework and gaming. It still works. I would recommend this to everyone as far as value goes.

The 500 doesn't fit well for big heads. I have a big head and the band kept pushing the ear cups halfway above my ear even with the ear cups at their lowest setting. I wonder if the 400 is any better.
