Yes, I entered the amount in error. Didn't know how to edit the price in the title.

How good is the Roku software? Better than the Fire TV software?

I bought this in early November as part of Black Friday. Well worth the price, especially since I like the Roku interface.

My main complaint is that the wifi reception is extremely poor. I have my router in the same room as the tv and it only shows two bars of reception, drops frequently, and is very slow even when connected.

My other tv also in the same room has full wifi reception and streams at full speed and resolution. Very frustrating.

This is obviously subjective but I thought I would hate the Roku interface (no dedicated button for switching inputs) and it was exactly the opposite. I love the customization in the Roku interface.
Excellent ability to rename, re-icon, and remove inputs from the Home screen (awesome for setting up TV for less tech savvy users), you can easily set different display profiles (brightness, color settings, etc) for EACH input and switch them on the fly using the asterisk key (although an update made this slightly less convenient recently) which my wife loves for switching to a very dark "I'm about to fall asleep" mode.
The free Roku channels are also surprisingly useful for us and others. A very decent array of channels and some duplicate local over the air offerings but are superior in that OTA reception can waver whereas the internet channels don't blip out (unless your wireless sucks).
The TCL also does a good job with antennas and OTA guide info. Give it a coax antenna and an internet connection and it will populate a nice channel guide with programming data all on its own. Guide data usually costs money on most platforms.
Only negatives we've encountered:
1) Updates happen and there's no setting to stop them (you can block the Roku IPs at your router or NOT connect it to the network I guess)
2) Some people hate the ads but they aren't intrusive IMO and I rarely use the home screen long enough to notice them
3) One of my (3) Roku TCLs likes to constantly flash the light for disconnected wireless. Switching my wireless AP helped some, hardwiring the TV worked better.
There is also a code sequence on the remote you can use to enter a professional mode and you can turn the brightness way down on the light. You can't tape over it though because the receiver for the remote lives there.

We love our TCLs but keep in mind any baked-in TV OS is only good for light streaming duty. Once you start using Plex/Emby/etc, even a cheap dongle will likely have more horsepower and support more options than the TV OS does as a media consumption device (client).

I think that's a one-off then. Our TVs all get good reception but we have nice wireless APs (Aruba, previously TP-Link Omadas that were also fine). TCLs are good value for dollar but they can be hit and miss with quality control so maybe that one TV is a bit of a dud. You can always do a wireless bridge adapter and cable that to the TV. We did this previously with an older TV that had a LAN connection but no wireless.
