Have been using this for 5 years, holding up great. For $99, it will pay for itself. I prefer the smaller M12 since it is light and small. I have done some jobs in tight spots where the smaller size saved the day!

Nice price but the fuel version with tooless blade change is so much nicer.
It's not really kosher to do this, as it kind of makes it difficult for others to enjoy discounted deals if a few do this and stores are unable to offer sales because they have to recover the cost doing business with you.

This also sounds like an employee at the store made an error, and while you may have benefitted, this should not be stated here as a "slick deal" as this is something that cannot be replicated for someone else. The closest anyone can get to this is a "hack", where the battery set and the tool can be returned separately and the tool can be had for a discounted price over retail, but these current deals are not normally eligible for individual return like you experienced.
Because some people are looking for the oscillating multi tool? Thats like saying why not get this screwdriver to someone looking for a saw.

I have not been following real close but have mainly been getting deal alerts for m12 and very little for m18. Has anyone heard why Milwaukee isn't discounting m18?

i've seen the m18 oscillating come up at least 3-4 times in last 2 months but not as heavy as m12.

Understood. My fault for being a little off topic, but I'm referring to Milwaukee in general.

Word, I sold this one to get the m12 fuel. I could never go back to this one.

The fuel version is better in some ways, worse in others. The new version is faster but the increased stroke length for speed makes it less accurate.

Based on past history, are we pretty much at the end of Milwaukee's holiday deals period and will have to wait a couple more months for the next round?

I have the fuel and that thing is a beast but this should be great for medium duty. Or you could sell the tool/batteries to get it for cheaper.

For $60 more you can get a drill and an impact driver. I didn't see info on the batteries but I assume they're only 1.5ers. If you already have decent batteries and you have an extra 60 bucks, could be good to throw the extra tools in the kitchen drawer for around the house stuff.

I have 2 and the batteries keep coming loose. One is basically unusable because of the batteries coming loose. I've never had battery come completely out. Milwaukee seems to have the real problem with this.

The batteries are the smallest 1.5 amp hours are you mentioned. OK for DIY home owners.

Milwaukee has better descriptions on their site.
