I can't get myself to pull the trigger on this. I've needed a new receiver for awhile but I have an old Denon with OG audyssey MultEQ already. It doesn't feel like an upgrade even 11 years later when the cheap ones like this have the same sound processing tech. It feels like I need at least MultEQ XT to make it worth my while.

Prior to this fall, I remember HDMI 2.1 AVRs were failing to properly process 4K120. So the coast is clear now?

"-R" indicates refurbished model. Would you know what warranty it comes with?

I was debating on this AVR or the Onkyo TX-NR6050 but then next thing I knew both were out of stock at Costco. As soon as I saw this restocked it was an immediate buy for me!

does this thing support every modern bell and whistle?

i'm using a 5 year old LG SJ9 soundbar currently. it will push everything (dolby vision at 4k 120fps) on xbox, but atmos is delayed by a second, for some reason. i have to use 5.1 uncompressed instead to eliminate the audio lag which really sucks.

so i'm looking at receivers and finally biting on a 'real' speaker setup but i'm having a tough time figuring out what will 'just work'. my mom has a receiver at her house and it's fiddly and annoying to swap inputs and everything else, whereas my soundbar with eARC just works.

does all this stuff get easier on the high end? or is it just part of the experience?

Fantastic deal, especially with current issues with global supply chain. HDMI 2.1 (all ports) and 5.1.2

It all depends on you're looking for. This AVR supports everything I need with HDMI 2.1 inputs for my PS5 & XBOX SX and dolby atmos. I still have yet to receive this but from watching some YT videos and reading some forums, everything looks pretty easy to setup. For the price and what it's capable of doing this was an easy buy for me.

How is this receiver in a 2 output setup (TV and projector)? Are there HDMI splitters that will pass output video in all supported formats?

This has zone 2 audio for if you want to play music in a 2nd room while watching a movie in another, but it does not have dual HDMI outputs to pass two video feeds simultaneously. If you want that, get the Onkyo mentioned in this thread if you can find it.

Mine is fiddley. 9 times out of 10 it works okay, but I had to stop controlling tuner power with my 65C1 and use the tuner remote for power. Even then, sometimes nothing comes out of the tuner and I have to turn off the tuner and the TV, then turn on the tuner, then the TV.

I've had both.

I started w the 760h, and had nothing but problems with it. I'm sure I just had a defective one, so your experience may differ.

I returned my 760h and got the 6050, and it's worked perfectly since day 1.

Heos and overall wireless speaker noob here. I really need a three zone setup. Basement includes a bar, gym and theater area. Is this something that can solve that issue? Hardwire for the theater, 2 wireless speakers for the bar, 2 wireless speakers for the gym?

You may want to check out Onkyo rz250 its much more in cost, but has multiple zones and supports more setup types. https://www.onkyousa.com/product/...-receiver/

I am also looking for something with more features then the what Costco is offering this year and that one seems to be the best right now. (if you can find it in stock)
