I bought a sunjoe power washer and it was horrible. Quality is a joke, return process is a joke, ended up just throwing it out and bought a Ryobi.

Not really, i would consider the gas one for house sidings.
This thing is pretty weak that you have to shot at a very close distance to reach max power. The actual power is only at around 1200-1400 PSI.
Look at the gun, it's plastic!
I had one before and it leaks on the 2nd usage.

Great for washing the car with the soap attachment. I've had it for 2 years with no issues and great pressure. Strong enough to get mud/bird splash, but not too powerful to cause paint damage.

Is it powerful enough to remove algae from house siding and garage doors?

I own an AR142 that's rated at 1600 psi and it works to get algae off my moms siding. This should work to do the same.

I'd look into a spray-on cleaner prior to pressure washing. A lot of spray-on, rinse-off stuff out there that does most of the work for you

Yes. I use a garden sprayer to apply a bleach or detergent solution, then come back with the power washer. It works well, and that's with my 1650 psi electric.

These are very poor quality. I made the mistake of buying one a couple years ago.

Solid for this price if you don't have the budget for gas. You absolutely should get familiar with soaps if getting this though. Cause pressure alone is pretty underwhelming.

Decent for small jobs (facia, car wash and windows), but pretty awful for concrete. I have a stronger electric power washer than this and just had to upgrade to gas. My 2600psi electric washer took 5 hours to clean my average size driveway and sidewalk (should have taken 2 hours max). I used soap and STILL had to slowly go over everything twice with the surface attachment. That time suck was an absolute dealbreaker. Not to mention the crazy amount of extra water wasted.

Small annoyance: fiddling with extension cords is super annoying. Especially, when also dealing with a hose.

I like that all parts hang on the unit. I bought the Ryobi 1600psi unit from HD. I like it's compact, but the cord just hangs on the side and the same goes for the wand. A bit of a cluttered mess. This design makes me want to exchange for this.
