I bought a sunjoe power washer and it was horrible. Quality is a joke, return process is a joke, ended up just throwing it out and bought a Ryobi.
Not really, i would consider the gas one for house sidings.
This thing is pretty weak that you have to shot at a very close distance to reach max power. The actual power is only at around 1200-1400 PSI.
Look at the gun, it's plastic!
I had one before and it leaks on the 2nd usage.
Great for washing the car with the soap attachment. I've had it for 2 years with no issues and great pressure. Strong enough to get mud/bird splash, but not too powerful to cause paint damage.

Yes. Pre-soak the algae with a cleaner then spray it

Too many people buy a crazy powerful washer and ruin their siding thinking they are pros.
If you use a cleaner first, do you even need a pressure washer? The cleaner isn't very cheap, ie. a bottle of 30 Seconds Cleaner is about $10 and after a few cleanings, that could end up costing more than the pressure washer. So if the PW isn't needed, might as well avoid that cost.

Depends on the job. You don't want too abrasive of a cleaner on things like wood fences or painted surfaces. Chemicals will ruin any protection or paint

How is this compared to SPX3000?
this one is more powerful and also cheaper...but at least the spx3000 is better than the greenworks pressure washers at lowes

I refinished my cedar deck with one of these worked pretty good, deck stripper spray on with pumps sprayers, power wash it off, put on brightner let sit for 24 hours to dry and stain

I have a similar model Sun Joe that I bought a couple of years ago and it has done everything I have needed it to do. Picked this one up at Wal-Mart for my father in-law a couple of days ago for Christmas.

Yeah but mix with the stuff that prevents future growth.

Purchasing a Sun Joe pressure washer is a stepping stone to either of the Simpson pressure washers listed on SD today. Sun Joe pressure washers last a season or two. Winterization quality doesn't matter. I've owned two Sun Joe washers, each lasted 2 years with proper care. They are very low quality. Buy a good Honda gas and be done.

I've had a SPX3000 for several years. Same PSI. Never had a problem. I've done my fence, deck, driveway, patio and wooden chairs every year and it's worked great.

I have similar Sun Joe and have used solely for washing cars with a foam canon. No problems so far, probably the best electric I have ever had. Don't expect it to be like a gas version and you wont be disappointed.

I own an AR142 that's rated at 1600 psi and it works to get algae off my moms siding. This should work to do the same.
For algae, or anything green (or black) that grows on your house, you should look into some Wet and Forget. It takes a little time to come completely clean, but has a long lasting residual effect. Each application lasts me about 2.5 years before I need to re-apply, YMMV, but it's great stuff for algae, mildew, lichen, etc. I use the bottle that attaches to a garden hose for application. Costco has it for the best price I've found.

I bought mine a while ago and while it's not the best quality it seems to do the job.
