I bought a sunjoe power washer and it was horrible. Quality is a joke, return process is a joke, ended up just throwing it out and bought a Ryobi.
Not really, i would consider the gas one for house sidings.
This thing is pretty weak that you have to shot at a very close distance to reach max power. The actual power is only at around 1200-1400 PSI.
Look at the gun, it's plastic!
I had one before and it leaks on the 2nd usage.
Great for washing the car with the soap attachment. I've had it for 2 years with no issues and great pressure. Strong enough to get mud/bird splash, but not too powerful to cause paint damage.

was thinking of buying to clean the walls of the house

The weakest point of this pressure washer is your garden hose to the device, it's plastic so if it's standing up and falls flat then there is a potential break. I had to use an adjustable ring clamp to prolong its life but a refurb ryobi from direct tools better deal and better made

However, if you have not used a Gas Powered machine, lots of damage can be done

Is it powerful enough to remove algae from house siding and garage doors?
Yes. Pre-soak the algae with a cleaner then spray it

Too many people buy a crazy powerful washer and ruin their siding thinking they are pros.

Just my two cent - I picked up an older version of this (SPX2598-MAX) from Walmart for $70 and finally had an opportunity to use it after we ripped out our overgrown and dying landscaping. The cement walkway and brick fascia were covered with mold, mildew, etc. (on the shade side of the house) and I was able to clear it all with pressure alone (and a little patience). I was pleasantly surprised and I suppose YMMV, but I would certainly not describe this product as useless. Especially if your needs are limited and infrequent.

Returning the Ryobi I picked up about a month ago for 10 bucks less than this.
Personally id hold onto the ryobi. I dont think the psi diff is that great between the two. The sunjoe has a dial to adjust the pressure but its large and bulky. The ryobi is very portable and powerful for its size.

Strong enough for water Jetting pipes?
I bought a sewer jetter kit off amazon and was able to clear out sections of 3" drains in my yard with my ryobi. It worked but probably was slower than something bigger. I actually borrowed this same/similar sunjoe from a friend because i thought i had a bad blockage but it turned out to be something completely different (drainage pipe exiting to a catch basin so i was hitting the catch basin hahaha). As a side: I dont think the sun joe is that much more powerful than the ryobi. This unit is large and bulky too so make sure you have a place to store it

Which ryobi did you get? I've got the tiny one. I'm looking to shred some roots in the outside pipe

The price is so damn good. But every time I see a pressure washer deal on SD and it ends up being SunJoe, everyone just shits on the product lol. I'm hoping that a comparable Ryobi comes up for sale before my Walmart+ trial runs out (as I haven't seen PW go on big sale on Amazon that much).

I've got the SPX3000 with same psi rating and I use it so spray the algae off our concrete. We live on the west cost on the ocean and that stuff grows like crazy. For siding I suppose it depends on how far up you have to go. I mainly use this with a foam cannon for detailing cars but it does work fine for algae growth on the ground.

Yea its the same one i think. 1600psi or whatever? If you get a sewer jetter kit off amazon you should be able to blast through a lot if it... Rootballs and dirt clogs at least. If its thick roots that might not be as effective and or it might take a long time

Probably need to make sure to use the appropriate tip too like the white one. I know they say this when detailing/washing cars with a pressure washer so id assume the same for anything else with paint on it

How is this compared to SPX3000?
