Got mine for 200 a couple months ago. This does step it out of ymmv though.
2 person job to assemble, shoot for a pre assembled model if you can. Massive cooking area, works great. Little more leaky around the doors and glass than I'd like. I prefer the amount of smoke this imparts (doesn't overdo it). Wifi and temp probes are very nice features.
for a good quality, wifi enabled, giant capacity pellet smoker, and grill I'd say worth it at this price.
This thing is huge. Mine broke after a few weeks and I took it back and got a refund. I prefer a smaller grill but if you are into making all kinds of random things this is for you.
So it says pellet grill and smoker - I currently have a vertical smoker that is propane and wood so fairly simple to grasp the how to smoke part - soooo on this one is the smoke imparted by just the pellets? or is there something else going on?

Yes, smoke is just from the pellets. There is an igniter, auger, and burn cup in most of the pellet smokers. It will light the initial batch of hardwood pellets in the burn cup then the auger will continually feed more pellets to maintain heat and smoke food.

Yup, smoke is imparted by just the pellets. I got a different brand/model pellet grill/smoker. But basically you pour the pellets in the hopper, the auger feeds the pellets, that gets ignited and burned to maintain the set temperature. It's pretty hands off after that, just need to check up on it to make sure there's no flare ups in the hopper just in case.
I've only used my pellet smoker a few times, but personally I find that the smoke flavor is good, but isn't as strong as say using woodchips on a vertical electric or propane smoker. Where you could just toss in extra more frequently to get heavier smoke.
Slick deals you're killing me! I now own like 5 different grills and 20 different brands of 20v drills and such haha. The slick deal effect is at its prime… and the wife just keeps giving me dirty looks

Thanks for the response (stuck at work so can't watch youtubes to figure this out) hadn't looked hard at pellet grills since I only just bought my dual fuel this past summer but it has been a tremendous hit!

Interesting, thanks for the response - yes I was wondering about how thick the smoke is because you are correct - adding in a few wood chunks has been pretty simple! Great info and just quibbling now over whether I should or shouldn't... cuz we have the smoked meats addiction in our house now lol

If you're on the fence, you should buy this. I'm new to smoking but man, the stuff that comes off of this thing is bonkers. I just finished a 12 hour Boston Butt and I did a honey glazed smoked turkey for thanksgiving when we were getting sick of the other 3 traditional turkey breasts. Buy this, Follow HowToBBQRight (Malcom Reed) on YouTube, do everything he says, prosper.

Thanks! Ya been on the fence this whole post lol but I have 3 frozen 20lb turkeys in the freezer that I strongly was debating smoking (would be too large to smoke inside my vertical smoker )...
