Some in my area at that price, others at $95. A good deal if you are invested in the Craftsman line.

Found one listing on BrickSeek showing $39.27 in the Jackson MS (39204) area. Good deal if you have batteries.

I passed on this deal only because I have a corded Bosch SDS that I only rarely use. However, if you need to drill concrete and have the craftsman line, this is your drill. Those "hammer" drills really aren't made for boring holes in concrete, brick. Put a 3/4" bit in these rotary impacts and 4" holes take less than 10 seconds.

$41.00 at Lowe's around here. Great price, however, this is a pretty specific tool that most people will get little to no use from.

Err... actually, that's EXACTLY what they are made for, and they work great for smaller holes.

They will work with small holes if you have good bits and no better option. My experience has been it's time consuming and bit consuming to do use them for that. Rotary hammers really eat through it. For example, if you have to put concrete holes for anchors... buy a rotary hammer.

Funny you should bring that up. I had to drill four 5" deep holes in my garage floor to anchor a manual tire changer, also four more in a slab to anchor a patio umbrella. I used this 5/8 Bosch masonry bit for both projects using my $18 (on clearance) Walmart hammer drill. Like butter. A rotary hammer drill would be way overkill.

Depends on the hardness of concrete. Rotary hammers are superior to hammer drills. For homeowners yea hammer drills do work a lot but not on the jobsite and in commercial and industrial facilities
