What do paramedics do when they run across all of these vitamin C overdoses? They must be an answer for all those people OD'ing on those vitamin C cough drops or chewable gummies? Narcan? Belly rubs? Chicken soup?

2),I have an extra $3 a month I won't miss
3) there is a 50/50 chance it might do some good
4) I do not get my science from memes or podcasts

You can blame Linus Pauling for the vitamin C crap.
I take extra vitamin C because:
1) it sure as **** ain't going to hurt me
2),I have an extra $3 a month I won't miss
3) there is a 50/50 chance it might do some good
4) I do not get my science from memes or podcasts

Typically open for an adult conversation, is it this product, or Vitamin C in general that is "potentially dangerous?" Either way, the 'why' would be nice to know.

Personally and it is not easy, I have been trying to avoid the fructose (the OP contains) for the past couple of months and have noticed a difference in well being and lower blood sugars. I presume most fructose is from corn and good or bad, most corn is GMO, so maybe that is it. But, and without a doubt, addictive fructose is the common issue with ever increasing obesity and diabetes that leads to cardiovascular diseases in the western world.
In my opinion, a cheaper and better source for C is from this product [amazon.com] (non-acidic mineral ascorbates) that will last most well over a year, or at the 1,000mg of the OP, 18months. Check the expiration date.
Maybe there is better, but I have not found it. On the other hand, a pill is easier to take than any that mix with water.
Or, save the urine that is urea (about 44% nitrogen), mix about 1 to 10 with water and use for plants. At one time, in places like Pompeii, urine was a trading commodity with 'certified' Italian urine being worth more than say, from Greece. Today, we just grab a bag of fertilizer that has urea in it for the nitrogen.
And those excess vitamins and minerals being excreted might help to replenish soils that have been depleted to the point that commercially produced vegetables and fruits are not the same nutrition our Grandparent's consumed.
