Honestly I felt the same way, but in fact, it's not silicone like all the other Amazon crap out there. It's flouroelastamer. Yes it's a fancy silicone but with other stuff and it does last a lot longer , has better color and doesn't get sticky or linty! I bought maybe 4 straps or more for mine and in reality I could have saved a few bucks getting just 1 good apple one.

I had my Nike one for 2 months and it still looks new. It's my first Apple Watch. I've never had a band last this long without looking like crap. I I'm a fitness so I'm hard on my watches.

Interesting. Well I might have to grab one someday, but there's no way I can do $50 and live with myself. $30 is a stretch, but I'm still pondering that. Thanks for the info

So I used an Amazon Chinese link band on my Apple Watch 3, then it broke as I was running so I swore I'd always buy Apple bands for their quality since. Then the last go around of these front page apple band deals, someone convinced me to at least try sports band on ebay for < $3. I got one and I think them Chinese may have perfected copying at least the sports bands. I still wouldn't trust links and other more complicated bands though.
