Includes Soft roller cleaner head for hard floors instead of Direct-drive cleaner head for carpets. They are both great, and you'd normally need to spring for the Absolute to get both. But if you could only have one, most people would be better off with the Direct-drive cleaner head. It is more versatile: You can use it on hard floors as well as carpets. The soft one is only for hard floors.

I'd agree the direct drive head is more useful for more people. Alternatively, for some reason the soft roller head is MUCH more expensive. So if you live in a small house or apartment with most or all solid surface floors, it's cheaper to buy this and then buy the direct drive head later if and when you need it.

I live in a small, newer apartment with all wood floors, and this deal was perfect. It's also available (Or has been) from Wal-Mart.com and Dyson directly on eBay for the same price. I haven't had good experiences with Newegg, so I went elsewhere.

These were gone for a while, so I broke down and ordered a V7 Absolute. They come with the same stuff, less the hard floor cleaner head. Going to keep this one for the bigger battery and HEPA filter. Also, the little bracket they sell for like $8 that lets you store tools on the wand looks like it will be useful.

I bought a soft roller head for my V7 from dyson's website and asked for free shipping via chat. The agent gave me free shipping and a 50% discount on the listed price of the website just because I'm a dyson owner. So FYI if anyone's gonna buy a separate cleaner head make sure to use dyson's chat
