They're different. The Cervae is much thicker, and act more like a barrier. The Neutrogena is very light. These two would make a great combo to combat dry skin. Put the neutrogena on first, then seal it in with the Cerave. That's probably too much work for most people. Since the Neutrogena absorbs faster, it might feel better to put it on in the morning before dressing and saving the cerave for evening before bedtime.
