Except for American Samoan who are the only non citizen US nationals and can get a US passport
It's very risky to travel with a passport that expires so soon. Many countries require passport to be valid for 6 months AFTER you leave their country. Other countries don't have this rule but make sure you're only traveling to those. Airlines will not let you board a plane if your passport is not valid long enough for whatever the destination country requires.

You need birth certificate that shows you're born in USA, or if not USA born, your US naturalization certificate.
