If you're buying this for use with a PC, watch out - the way the controller is detected via bluetooth isn't great. If plugged in w/ USB, it is detected as an Xbox controller and is natively supported by many games.

When connected via bluetooth, it is detected as a generic XInput compatible device and many games won't support it without manual configuration on a by-game basis. Typical tricks to fix it (manually selecting drivers, etc) don't work or won't stick.

If you're buying this for use with a PC, watch out - the way the controller is detected via bluetooth isn't great. If plugged in w/ USB, it is detected as an Xbox controller and is natively supported by many games.

When connected via bluetooth, it is detected as a generic XInput compatible device and many games won't support it without manual configuration on a by-game basis. Typical tricks to fix it (manually selecting drivers, etc) don't work or won't stick.

i ran across this same problem. however, it was recommended to me to get the proprietary xbox wireless adapter which apparently works better. never tried it though.

The Steam driver sorts these issues out really well.

Yeah, in the Steam settings you can set this generic Bluetooth controller to the Xbox controller profile. From there everything will work. HD vibrating and all via Bluetooth. No need for the Xbox PC dongle.
